We can say that SpaceX, the private space company founded by Elon Musk, has subscribed to state institutions since the beginning of 2010.

SpaceX’s reusable Falcon 9 rockets, the Falcon Heavy rocket, which was created by bringing together 3 Falcon 9s in total; Apart from the Starship spaceship, which is said to have a capacity of 100 passengers, there is another important project: Crew Dragon. The Falcon 9 rocket, which carries a load to the Near Earth orbit independently of human control, has now taken its place on the launch pad for the Crew Dragon mission, which is now specially designed from the outfit.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched its Crew Dragon capsule and two astronauts inside. Leaving the atmosphere in minutes, the rocket left the capsule and returned to the SpaceX station floating on the Atlantic Ocean. SpaceX said in an official Twitter account that the astronauts were in place and the cover of the Dragon spacecraft was closed.

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying the vehicle landed safely on SpaceX’s ship, the rocket encountered no problems. SpaceX makes the Falcon series rockets to be reusable.

Crew Dragon has completely left his propeller rockets carrying him to orbit and space and continues his journey to the International Space Station (ISS).

Astronaut Douglas Hurley previously served 28 days 11 hours, astronaut Bob Behnken served 29 days 12 hours in space. So both names have enough experience.
The Falcon 9 rocket, which will launch the Dragon capsule with astronauts into space, has fully autonomous systems. He returned to the floating SpaceX station on the Atlantic Ocean.
Since 2011, NASA has been using Soyuz rockets developed by Russia. Another goal of Crew Dragon is to save NASA from paying millions of dollars to Russia.
For the past 9 years, people have not been sent to space from within the US. In this sense, Crew Dragon aims to bring the space prestige it has lost to the USA after a long time.
Also, for the first time in history, a private company sent people into space.

The new overalls, which are quite different from the astronaut outfits that we are accustomed to see, have a simpler design, but behind this simple and light look, there are no different technologies than superhero costumes. Helmets are printed with 3D printers in accordance with the size of each astronaut’s head. Of course, they are also said to be resistant to high temperatures and cold, extreme conditions.

Another interesting detail about the costumes is its designer. Designing the heroes’ costumes for the movies Batman, X-Men and Thor, Jose Fernandez worked with SpaceX for the new astronaut outfits.

According to SpaceX’s plans, after the Dragon capsule is locked to the ISS, astronauts will do several tests for the capsule’s adequacy.
Then the Dragon capsule will leave the station for return to the earth and glide towards the earth, calculated from the space.

ITT will produce masks from waste plastic bottles

Indian Institute of Technology (ITT) researchers have announced that they have developed high-efficiency mask making technology that can be washed and used up to 30 times using waste pet bottles.
The Indian Institute of Technology team in India, which has been on the agenda since the first day of the coronavirus pandemic has reacted to the social distance and quarantine practices, announced that they have developed a technology for high-efficiency masks.

The team has also taken a step towards environmental pollution and waste by using waste plastic bottles for the mask they have developed through the electro fiber drawing method. Researchers first smashed waste plastic bottles. Afterwards, they melted the waste plastic bottles that they disintegrated through pressed nanofiber and melting agent.

According to information shared by Assistant Professor Sumit Sinha Ray, an expert at the Indian Institute of Technology, the ITT (Indian Institute of Technology) team applied a different method for their masks that provide equivalent filtering with N95 and other medical masks. In the mask developed by the team, waste plastic bottles were preferred to obtain a nano-sized non-woven fabric texture.

In this case, one of the first things that come to your mind is whether plastic is safe for use. Sumit Sinha Ray clarifies this issue as well. It means that this nano-fiber tissue obtained from waste plastic bottles transformed into a new structure with the solution used is purified from all of the other components that cause bacteria and infections. Ray even claims that the success of these developed masks in breathing is better than many other masks available on the market.

Stating that the preference of waste plastic bottles in the development of the mask will contribute not only to environmental pollution but also to the economy, Ray adds that his production costs will be reduced by half thanks to the materials and methods they use.

When stars like the Sun form a system around them, Earth-like planets begin their lives as beds of liquid magma. According to scientists, it is easier to spot these magma ocean planets near Sun-like stars. Such planets emit so much heat that scientists can observe the glare from them using the next generation of infrared telescopes.

These ‘young worlds’ emit a significant part of their energy in the form of heat, making it easier to locate them. Of course, this doesn’t make things ‘easy’, it just makes it ‘a bit easier’. These positions are found in young star groups less than 100 million years old and are called ‘young moving groups’. These groups typically contain only a few tens of stars, and before we couldn’t decide if we found all the stars in each group because they were behind the Milky Way galaxy.

The good news is that it will be easier to find hot celestial bodies of liquid rocks that will eventually become a Earth-like planet. The bad news is that the Earth-like planets take millions of years to mature and cool down. Moreover, there is no guarantee that a planet with the right materials can be in an orbital region that can make life permanent.
